Corporate Bonds Information: KeyBank
KeyBank is a bank headquartered in the Key Tower in Cleveland, Ohio. As of 2007[update], it is the 16th largest bank in the United States based on total deposits. It is the 12th largest bank in the United States by total assets.
KeyBank is owned by KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY) which was formed in 1994 through the merger of Society Corp. of Cleveland (“Society Bank”) and KeyCorp (“Old KeyCorp”) of Albany, New York. It traces its roots back to Commercial Bank of Albany (1825). Society Corp. originated as Cleveland’s Society for Savings in 1849, and had acquired Cleveland Central National Bank in 1986 and Ameritrust (formerly Cleveland Trust) prior to its merger with the former KeyCorp. KeyCorp is a publicly-traded stock on the New York Stock Exchange.
